Find empty folders using Spotlight
27 Feb 2009
I recently moved my iTunes library and couldn’t figure out an easy way to delete empty folders from my hard drive. I tried to do a search for folders with a size of 0 kb, but this didn’t work. Turns out, you have to do a search for folders and select “Number of items” from “Other…” in the search dropbox. Then select 0 for the number and the empty folders will pop up in Spotlight.
A post on the Apple discussions forum entitled Find or Delete Empty Folders has more information.
