Big-O-Software just realeased a new update to AIM+. It was due to come out today. Because of the mass of people trying to download it all at once, MySQL died on them. They’ll have it fixed as soon as they can. Give it a few days then go back and get the newest version. http://www.big-o-software.com

Wow AIM+ has become really popular. Haha people really do hate AOL. Joy. I have stopped using AIM altogether because Trillian (http://www.trillian.cc) is a better chat client in my opinion and it allows me to use ICQ at the same time. Good stuff. Trillian Pro is just amazing. The plug-ins for it don’t take up a lot of RAM and they work really well. I haven’t had any crashiness with them. AIM+ is decent though. It makes AIM about as good as it is going to get.

did anyone manage to get their hands on the new aim+ yet? i've tried e-mailing the webmaster and even added his screename to my buddy list. i haven't had any luck contacting him or getting through to the site.

Yeah … i’ve been waiting for this new version of AIM+ for sooo long …. and now the site’s down and it blows … if anyone did get ahold of it … let me know … it’d be very much appreciated

I’ll check and see if anybody here at UCLA has downloaded it. I’m sure somebody has a copy. Just keep bitching at them and they’ll shape up eventually.

I don't think anyone got a copy. I found a similar program called DeadAIM, they just released a new version and it works great with AIM 5.

Sorry y’all but I don’t have a copy. Big-O-Software is working on their web site and I’m sure it will be up and running in a week or two. If you can’t wait, the other program I recommend is MyIM (http://home.rochester.rr.com/artcfox/MyIM/) that works almost exactly like AIM+. Hope that helps.

Read the posts and you'll understand why there probably isn't going to be an AIM+ 3.0 in the near future.
