End of vacation
Well well I had a good Thanksgiving overall. This weekend I not only went into San Francisco and had a clam chowder bread bowl at Boudin but also bought a heap of chocolate over at Ghirardelli. And to top it off, I was lucky enough to see Cirque du Soleil‘s newest show, Varekai! Wow was that an amazing performance.

Honestly, everything in the show was simply stunning. I have never been to one of their performances but my parents have seen “O” twice and loved it. “Varekai” was great because there was a constant sense of danger since the performers had no safety nets. There were a number of times during the show where things could have gone terribly wrong, but the artists are so good that of course nothing bad happened. Most of the time I just ended up sitting there with my mouth open.
Go see that if you get the chance. It’s worth the ticket price.
The drive back down the 5 to UCLA was awful as expected. We left at 10:30 and met the holiday traffic head-on. Magic Mountain was a bottleneck like last time and I ended up getting in around 6:00. Well, it could have taken longer but I have made better time before…
Overall, no complaints though. I had a great holiday weekend, especially since I got to drive the new car. Always fun. Now I get to look forward to finals. Joy.
